Amy is a Personal Tax Senior Manager and is both a member of the Association of Tax Technicians (ATT) and the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT). She qualified as a member of the CIOT in 2007 having passed all 4 tax papers in one sitting. More recently, Amy was shortlisted for “Tax Adviser of the Year 2012” at the North East Accountancy Awards. Amy has previously worked in two “Big 4” firms as well as a Top 20 Accountancy firm in London and has a proven track record of successfully managing large expatriate populations for multinational companies and providing tax compliance and consulting services to both employees and employers. Amy relishes the opportunity to advise on the complicated tax issues affecting foreign nationals in the UK and those seeking to move overseas as well as advising corporate organisations on how best to structure global mobility packages.
Although Amy’s niche expertise lies in residence and domicile matters, she has a firm grounding in personal tax issues for high net worth individuals and owner managed businesses. She has advised on capital gains tax planning for small businesses, inheritance tax issues for large estates and has implemented share schemes for companies. Amy’s niche specialism supplements her excellent varied personal tax knowledge placing her in a unique position in the North East marketplace.
Although Amy works directly with clients she also works as a consultant for a number of accountants and lawyers across the country to develop solutions for specific client tax issues. Amy works in a personable manner and has a strong professional network both in London, the South East and the North East. Amy regularly attends tax conferences in London and has previously presented at CIOT seminars.
Outside of being a tax adviser Amy has a passion for cooking and travelling, having visited 19 countries to date. Amy also visits the gym regularly and enjoys socialising with friends.
